On January 13th and 14th, several classmates and I attended the District 4 ASDA conference in Asheville, North Carolina. There were many informative speakers who gave us insight into life after dental school and ways to succeed in this profession. A few of the things we enjoyed and learned include:

• Networking with dental corporations, vendors and students from other schools

• Educational information from breakout sessions, such as how to tackle boards

• Outreach opportunities

• The way dentistry is evolving as a profession due to advancements in technology

• Had the opportunity to try new products from various vendors

• Learned about licensure and malpractice insurance

• Insight on how the dental career compares to life in dental school
